Dry ice cleaning for Tesla and electric cars in San Diego

Clean behind the plastic panels and under the car with no water. A yearly clean for the parts you never see.

The parts you never see

An electric car still gets dirty.

There is no engine to wash, so nobody looks. But behind the plastic panels of the front trunk, and under the car, there are coolant lines, wiring, and electronics. Over time they pick up dust, leaves, pine needles, and road grime.

You do not want to hose that down. Dry ice cleaning is dry, so there is no water to get into connectors.

See all questions

Is dry ice cleaning safe for an electric car?

Dry ice is dry, so no water goes into connectors or electronics. Electric cars still have high-voltage parts that need care, so we plan each job first, protect what should not be blasted, and tell you what we will and will not clean.

Why clean the front trunk area and underbody of an EV?

Under the plastic panels there are coolant lines, wiring, brackets, and electronics that collect dust, leaves, pine needles, and road grime. Cleaning them keeps those areas free of buildup that holds moisture and hides problems.

Do you remove the plastic panels?

We remove the panels that are made to come off for access, and put them back carefully. Tell us your model and we will confirm what is involved before we quote.

Will this affect my warranty?

Cleaning is not repair, and we do not modify any parts. Warranty terms are different for every maker, so check yours or ask your service center. Anything that needs a dealer or a certified EV technician stays with them.

Which cars do you work on?

Tesla and other electric cars. Send us the make, model, and year, and photos of the front trunk area if you can.

How often should an EV be cleaned this way?

It depends on your climate, roads, and where you park. Many owners choose once a year or every two years. If you park under trees or drive on dirt or salty roads, you may want it more often.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the model and how much buildup there is. Send photos or call and we will give you a quote before any work starts.
